Island Mountain Rides is located in Canada, in British Columbia (BC) on beautiful Vancouver Island, in the Comox Valley in the mountain biking epi-centre of Cumberland, BC. You can come here and visit us and can get here a number of different ways.
Cumberland is located in the heart of the Comox Valley and is easily accessible by air. 15 minutes from Cumberland is Comox Airport (YQQ) that has daily flights arriving from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and other locations. The Comox Airport is serviced by Westjet, Pacific Coastal and Air Canada.
You can arrive to Cumberland via car or bus. For arrival via bus, we recommend Island Link Bus which will bring you right to Cumberland from various destinations including Victoria and Nanaimo.
You can also use Tofino Bus which will bring you to Courtenay, which is very close by. We can arrange to pick you up if we organize in advance.
*Please check with these bus companies if you are bringing your own bike as they will generally need to be in a suitcase or box and additional charges may apply.
Vancouver Island is fully surrounded by water, so if you don’t fly here, you will need to take a ferry.
The most common route to Cumberland is to arrive in Nanaimo at Departure Bay. You can also arrive via ferry in Victoria and visit our beautiful Capital City on the way here. If you are visiting the Sunshine Coast first, you can arrive right in in Comox via Powell River. Coming from the North? You can also arrive in Port Hardy from Prince Rupert.

If you are coming from the South, you can also arrive in Victoria via Port Angeles, WA, USA on the MV Coho. Check out details at: www.cohoferry.com/
